What is a soak off gel polish?Updated 2 months ago

A soak-off gel polish is a type of nail polish made from a gel-based formula that is cured under a UV or LED lamp to harden and set on the nails. It is widely loved because it provides a long-lasting, glossy finish that can stay chip-free for 2–3 weeks, making it much more durable than regular nail polish.

Here are some key points about soak-off gel polish:

  • Flexible Formula: Soak-off gel polish is designed to be softer and more flexible compared to hard gels (which are used for nail extensions). This flexibility prevents chipping and cracking.

  • Application: It's applied in layers, including a base coat, colored polish, and a top coat, with each layer cured under a lamp to set it.

  • Benefits: It offers high shine, durability, and a salon-quality appearance. It’s also popular because it doesn’t smudge after curing.

Please note that the gel requires a 3-step process, by using a base coat, a top coat, and a color gel, as well as a UV Lamp or LED.
