Option 2: Using Acetone, Cotton Pads, and Aluminum Foil

If you don’t have a gel remover handy, you can easily remove the gel polish using acetone. Here’s how:

  1. Prepare Your Materials:

    • Acetone

    • Cotton pads

    • Small pieces of aluminum foil

    • Wood orange stick (or a gentle nail tool)

  2. Soak the Nails:

    • Pour a small amount of acetone onto a cotton pad.

    • Place the acetone-soaked pad on your nail, ensuring it fully covers the gel polish.

    • Secure the pad by wrapping your nail with a piece of aluminum foil to keep it in place.

  3. Wait:

    • Let your nails soak for 5–10 minutes. The acetone will loosen the gel polish.

  4. Remove the Gel Polish:

    • After soaking, gently scrape off the softened gel polish using a wood orange stick or a similar gentle tool. Be careful not to damage your natural nails.

Finishing Touches

  1. Buff the Nails:

    • Lightly buff the surface of your nails to remove any leftover residue.

  2. Hydrate and Nourish:

    • Apply a nourishing hand moisturizer or cuticle oil to restore hydration to your nails and skin.

By following these simple steps, your nails will be fresh, clean, and ready for your next Madam Glam manicure!
